PGE&Co COO, Neophytos Sofocleous, attended a joint conference of professional accountants and lawyers from all over the world, at the historic and beautiful city of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
From the quaint villages and prominent seats of learning to the influential growth of modern technology and big pharma, the region retains a unique identity that is both entrepreneurial and traditional.
The two day event took place at two of Cambridge University's most renowned colleges, St. John's and Jesus, and among many other topics it featured the following:
- A presentation by Mr. Shaun Grady, Chair of the ever impressive AstraZeneca UK
- The use of GenAI in Cybersecurity
- How professionals can use ESG as a differentiator in the marketplace
- ESG & Sustainability matters and updates straight from an ICAEW Council Member, Mr. Neil Campbell
- The Good, the Bad & the Ugly of Modern Marketing
- Other firm and regional presentations from several colleagues
On top of that, the social program in and around the city of Cambridge, allowed networking with plenty of professionals from both the accounting and the legal worlds, to exchange ideas and best practices and to discuss international business.
The highlight of the program was a visit at Newmarket, which is globally renowned as the "Home of Horseracing".
The conference added plenty of value, knowledge and experiences to our firm.
